Cloud CRM Integration with Microsoft Outlook

Cloud CRM Integration with Microsoft Outlook

Why anyone using cloud CRM software would be interested in Integration with Microsoft Outlook?

Microsoft Outlook is probably the most used email client in the world, simply because it comes included with the most popular operating system ever; Windows. Also it is good to note that email is the most used Internet tool, everyone checks their email. In fact studies showed that the first thing someone does when using a pc is check their email!

Many managers and employees at many companies are very familiar with Microsoft Outlook Interface; and do spend a lot of time using this application. When thinking about Cloud CRM adoption rates, if the CRM system is accessible from Outlook it will definitely increase user adoption! After all everyone is most comfortable with a user interface that they know.

Many Cloud CRM software vendors like Salesboom.com and Salesforce.com have what they call CRM Outlook Plug-in.  With this tool, a sales agent, a marketing associate or a customer service representative can actually input data into their cloud CRM right from Outlook without actually having to login to the online CRM system. They can pull contacts, accounts, leads, email them, setup tasks and events and synchronize the calendar with the cloud CRM system bi-directionally right from the Microsoft Outlook application.

When evaluating different CRM vendors, it always makes sense to check their Outlook plug-in first. If they do not have one then this company is not what you are looking for. It also indicates whether this CRM vendor is Integration friendly or not.
